I changed the VAT rate when it went down to 15% but all my old paid invoices are now showing an outstanding balance of the 2.5% difference.

Have I done something wrong as no one else has asked the same question??

I am unable to create department code. I have downloaded the Account&See software for demo purpose. In the create invoice there is an option to select the department code. But I need to create my own dept code. Kindly give the proper detailed instructions.

Good Afternoon,

To create a department code, from the Create New Invoice Window, go to the Programs | Add/Edit Department codes drop down menu. From here you can set up hundreds of different department codes.

Hi,

Sorry - I think you must have misunderstood my directions - sorry this might seem a bit simplistic, but hopefully can't be misinterpreted.

1. From the Main Screen, click on the Create a New Invoice button.
2. When that window appears, click on the Programs drop down menu
3. Select the Add/Edit Department Code.

From this window, you can create department codes from A-Z and AA-ZZ

I think the misunderstanding was by looking at the Programs menu under the Main Screen window.

Hi john, Iam selling this software to one of our clients as it seems pretty close to his requirements.
But i need some information on whether i can print the invoice/proposals without the shady color only with simple lines or without lines as we are using Dotmatrix printer.

You can disable/enable the printing of every part of the invoice - just printing the invoice details if required.

To remove the 'shading', click on the interactive print preview button, right click on any empty part of the invoice and either set the Colour Scheme to 'None' or set the Invoice Stylesheet to 'None'.

For Dot Matrix Printing, we would also recommend setting the following settings of the 'General Printer Settings' check boxes.

Print Ruling Lines = Yes
Print Invoice Box = No
Print Rounded Corners = No
Rounded Corner selection box = None
Print Horizontal Rules = Yes
Hide Separator Lines = Yes
Print Vertical Rules = No
Reverse Invoice Column = No

This will allow the printing of an invoice with horizontal rules to define the invoice column headers and invoice totals, but will not slow down the printing by having to print a vertical rule on every pass of the dot matrix print head.

Invoice is not showing company address details in top left corner of invoices following upgrade to 3.0.32.

Hi Mike,

Once again - it all works perfectly here - I've tried the text, rich text and graphic letterhead styles.

There are two things that may be of note - firstly, from the Main Screen's Select Printer drop down menu, we have added a default paper size - this allows you to override the printer's default paper size setting.

Secondly, from the Design Company Address button on the Print Options window, we have made it easier to locate the sections to edit the letterhead printed on the invoices and statements - could you click on there and see whether or not the invoice letterhead is printed / selected.

Just had a quick thought ...

If you go to Interactive Print Preview (from the Print Options window that appears when printing an invoice). If the letterhead appears there, if you right click the letterhead and select 'restore to default position' and then try and print the invoice (PDF Preview will save paper).

If that doesn't work would it be possible to e-Mail your database to us? The file to send would be the acctsee.mdb file.

Actually just had another quick thought ...

In the print options window, (the column next to the number of copies to print and to the left of the buttons) there is a checkbox 'Print Company Letterhead' - could you please check that that is checked. (This is an option so that you can disable the printing if you are producing invoices on pre-printed letterheads).

Finally, so we can try and set up an identical system, which letterhead type are you using? (Default text, Text Letterhead - created by the WordPad type editor - or an imported graphic) - and what papersize are you printing to?
